Herbal Wisdom: Nature’s Healing Secrets

Herbalism is one of the oldest healings in time. It is even written into the Bible. Psalm 104:14 states that God made grass for the cattle and herbs for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth. Herbs serve man, as in a form of healing. Many of us, me included, thought herbs were used to flavour meals and sauces etc. In fact, one herb commonly used is common parsley. It is loaded with vitamins, minerals and is rich in antioxidants. It supports eye, bone and heart health and parsley extract has antibacterial properties. Such a versatile herb and all I thought I was doing was adding flavour to my scrambled eggs.

Herbs can be made into a tea, a syrup, a tincture or even salves and creams, or just simply added to our meals, dried or fresh. They have many benefits and there are many herbs.

The wisdom of herbs has been passed down through generations and of recent years, many have been labelled as old wives’ tales, but these therapies have withstood the test of time as many find the side effect from pharmaceuticals not worth it, and are returning to them.

As ancient therapies have been used successfully for centuries, many looking for a holistic and natural, non-invasive form of medicine.

Herbs are easy to access and many can be grown successfully in our own back yards to assist and support our health. With the price of living increasing every week, we can turn to herbs for support with our health, under the guide of a herbalist.

As with all therapies at Palm View, each case is different and your situation, condition or concern is addressed with your individual needs and requirements are prioritised, to gain the most effective health care for you. In some cases, I may not have on hand what is required and I may need a few days to source some of the more difficult herbs to purchase.
